A PAIR OF CHAUFFEUSES (FIRESIDE CHAIRS)               SOLD

A neat pair of low fireside chauffeuses (low, comfortable, French chairs designed to bring the user closer to the heat of the fire).  These were originally sourced from France and have been stripped back and completely re-upholstered before being covered in chic Chartreuse silk velvet.

Just as useful today as in days gone by:  in our experience, once the fire is lit, these are the first chairs to be occupied.  Much favoured by dogs.
